N-BK7在光谱的可见光和近红外区域具有不错的透过率。通常在紫外熔融石英的优点(即,在紫外光区域有较好透过率,且热膨胀系数更小)并非必需的情况下选择N-K7窗口片。这些窗口片可选未镀膜(350 nm - 2.0 μm)或在两个光学表面镀我们三种低损耗标准带宽减反膜(BBAR)之一的版本。标准宽带减反膜设计用于以下范围:350 - 700 nm (A膜),650 - 1050 nm (B膜)或1050 - 1700 nm (C膜)。未镀膜窗口片的每个表****有约4%的典型损耗,而宽带减反膜在指定波长范围上将每个表面的该损耗减小到Ravg< 0.5% ,并且对于0�与30�之间的入射具有良好性能。
